April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4, 1995) began her musical journey as a 7th grader in which she began guitar and piano classes. The first song she wrote was called Different, which she wrote when she was 12 years old. She spent lots of time when she was 14 making songs and practicing the piano. She started writing songs along with her dad and her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April began to include various other topics relevant to the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing popularity as a lifestyle influencer as well as a spokesperson for the popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. She has a disability that is a component of her identity, but it is not the whole picture. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't ignore her status as disabled, but neither does it concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. What message does it convey? This is the message That we all carry numerous identities. We're much more complex than we think we are. I don't want that to be the only thing that defines me. I don't wish to become a disability influencer in which I only speak about since there are so many other elements to my life. Lockhart speaks via video from her residence in Nashville. It doesn't affect my everyday life. Everything is normal and I've learned how to adapt. But it's also a part of me, so I believe it's essential to discuss. Lockhart is a huge example to other women with regards to self-acceptance. Lockhart admits to having had periods where she was uncomfortable dressing in certain styles that exposed her arms. Today, she wears anything she'd like. She also posts pictures on social networks. Self-love she said is like a journey. "I believe that you'll be in that place," she said. It's the same for everybody regardless of their insecurity. It is important to have people around you who are aware of and can relate to you. They'll be the ones who ask you: What do you worry about?
