Zazie was born to a german cabinet maker from Berlin in Germany, around the year 1991. Her father was a German Cabinet Maker who came to live to the United States following the fall of the Berlin Wall. She attended the same high school that was attended by Jennifer Aniston. Beetz attended Skidmore College to study French after graduating LaGuardia. The auditions began shortly after graduating and was offered the part in Atlanta. Beetz was born to an African American father as well as mother who was a German mother born in Berlin and Berlin was raised as the only New Yorker who was bilingual. In community theaters as well as local stages since the age of five, Zazie found her joy in grade school and grew into acting.
